An exciting opportunity has become available for an Academy Junior Sports Scientist to join us at Burnley Football Club. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Club’s ongoing development and helping us deliver a first-class experience for players, staff, and supporters.

The ideal candidate will have all essential qualifications and previous experience in a sports setting.

You will also need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings and weekends.

 

Role Expectations

As the Academy Junior Sports Scientist, you will be expected to:

  • Liaise with Head of Academy Human Performance and Medicine and Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach regarding players within the YDP.
  • Lead the organisation and planning of GPS data collection for the U16s.
  • Provide support to the YDP through pitch-based syllabus and ILP sessions.
